For the rest of us Pet Care Plus is the training place for your dog where they will learn the skills needed to be your little Angel. Our trainer, Aleksa, can help your dog become the dog you knew they always could be. We believe that both animals and humans should learn in the way that's best for them. For people that means through reading, seeing or doing and for dogs that could mean learning to sit several different ways.

Pet Care Plus is proud to have all our training done by one of the best that Chicago has to offer, Aleksa Kosinski. Aleksa has been training dogs since 1998 when she attended the Volhards’ Dog Training Conference and Obedience Instructor School in New York.  There, she had the opportunity to study under Jack and Wendy Volhard, internationally recognized dog training experts and authors of 12 books including Dog Training for Dummies (Wiley Publications, 2001 & 2nd edition, 2005).  She has also completed six graduate level courses in Canine behavior, done a residency in dog training and behavior modification through the American College of Applied Sciences and has even studied with wolves first hand in order to gain insight into dog pack behavior.

5 Week Course

This is the quintessential puppy kindergarten where your dog will learn how to be a happy follower and you will learn how to lead with love.  You will learn about housebreaking, socialization during this critical period in puppyhood, nutrition, bite inhibition and surviving teething in addition to the basic obedience (sit, down, come, leash manners, stay).  This class focuses on building good behaviors and how to avoid picking up bad behaviors such as jumping and barking excessively.  The fun, face pace off the class keeps puppies interested.  Off leash play is included. 

What a Dog!  (Dogs 6 months and Older) $150.00
5 Week Course

This class will have people saying to you, “Wow, What A Dog!”.  You will learn how to be a loving leader using your body language.   Your dog will want to pay attention to you not by force, but by using pack drive and a dog’s innate desire to be part of a healthy pack. Your dog will learn SIT, DOWN, COME, STAY, LEAVE IT, TO GREET PEOPLE NICELY and TO WALK NICELY ON A LEASH.  This class focuses on teaching you how to communicate with your dog effectively in order to have a happy, balanced companion.
