Our dog Teemo regularly gets haircuts here! His usual groomer, Gina, always makes sure he is properly cared for. And he looks so spiffy with the new handkerchief they give him every time. I cannot say enough great things about Pet Care Plus. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the culture of care, kindness, and professionalism they have created. This is not just a business that watches dogs, it is a place that genuinely loves and values every little puppy that comes through their doors. Jennifer, the owner, has built something truly special. Her leadership and heart for both the animals and the people around her are obvious in every interaction. You can tell the team is cared for, supported, and encouraged, and that positive culture flows directly into the way they treat every pet. It is rare to find a place where the staff is this attentive, patient, and genuinely excited to see your dog each day. As a pet owner, there is incredible peace of mind knowing your dog is in a safe, loving, and uplifting environment. Chicago is lucky to have a place like Pet Care Plus. We cannot say enough amazing things about Pet Care Plus and the incredible care they provided for our dog, Kimble, while we traveled across the world for our honeymoon. Leaving your fur baby behind for that long is never easy, but the team made us feel completely at peace from the very beginning. One of the things that stood out immediately was that they allowed us to tour the facility before boarding. That transparency and care made such a difference in helping us feel comfortable and confident in our decision. The staff also took the time to help us fully customize Kimble’s stay to best fit his personality and needs. They walked us through package options and helped us add things like private swims, additional walks, and grooming to make his stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. Kimble has a pretty rigorous medication schedule, and handling that properly was one of our biggest priorities when choosing a boarding facility. The team handled it flawlessly, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were overseas. What truly brought me to tears, though, was the level of compassion they showed when Kimble got nervous and started hunger striking a bit. Instead of just noting that he wasn’t eating, they actually took the time to hand feed him twice daily to make sure he was cared for and comfortable. That kind of love and attention goes so far beyond standard boarding care, and it meant the world to us. Another highlight of every single day of our trip was receiving Kimble’s daily report card. Seeing photos of him and hearing little updates about his day genuinely became one of the best parts of our honeymoon. When we picked him up, he smelled AMAZING, was so fluffy and handsome after his grooming appointment, and even came home wearing the cutest little bandana. They also gave us an adorable goodie bag for his first stay, which was such a thoughtful touch. This team truly treats your pets like family, and we are beyond grateful for the care, kindness, and love they showed Kimble. We had our pup Lux stay at Pet Care Plus for their three-week Board & Train program, and he truly had the time of his life! We could see it ourselves by checking the cameras they provide for pet parents to watch their dogs play throughout the day. That’s one feature I absolutely love and always tell people about, since so many places don’t offer it. The staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and clearly experts when it comes to working with dogs.
